Invoicing shouldn't be the hard part

Most invoicing software is built for accountants: charts, ledgers, reports on top of reports. Most people who need to send an invoice aren't accountants - they're plumbers, electricians, builders, decorators, cleaners, photographers and consultants who just did a job and need to get paid for it. Invoito is built for that second group, from the ground up.

The test we hold every feature to is simple: does this help someone create and send a professional invoice faster, or does it just add complexity because "real" accounting software has it? If it's the second one, it doesn't go in.

Invoito isn't trying to replace an accountant or full bookkeeping software - there's no general ledger, expense tracking or tax return support here, and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. What it does, it aims to do very well: turn the details of a job into a professional invoice, in well under a minute, from wherever you are.
